My background

My academic career began with a three-year degree in the science of linguistic mediation at the Higher School for Language Mediators (SSML) of Ancona, with the language combination English, Spanish and Russian.

In the autumn of 2018 I received my degree, presenting a proposed translation of a book published by the Complutense University of Madrid as thesis, achieving a final grade of 107/110.

In the same year I enrolled in a two-year master degree in modern languages for international cooperation at the University of Macerata.

This new academic degree brought me to move to Australia, in New South Wales specifically. Here I attended the University of New England, taking marketing, economy and organisation management courses, as well as a unit concerning media convergence and culture.

At the turn of late 2019 and early 2020, I did an internship in a translation agency based in Alicante (Spain), where I finally challenged myself with real translations thanks to the extreme willingness of my tutor.

Currently, having completed all my exams, I am working on my thesis with the aim of then graduate in October. The dissertation is essentially focused on the subtitling in Spanish of an Italian documentary, which was produced in the '60s by the Italian film director Pier Paolo Pasolini.
